Agility Club

Come out and join the Canine Harmony Agility Club on our new 1 acre field! 

New professional equipment has been purchased and we are ready to go!

Start Date: Saturday, June 12, 2010

The Canine Harmony Agility Club meets:

Saturdays: 10:00 am – 11:30pm

Wednesdays: 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Drop-In: $10 incl. GST (Additional Dogs Same Family/Same Handler $5 each)

Because our agility field is outdoors, The Agility Club meets every week rain or shine, except during storms or very heavy rain which may make equipment unsafe.  Please dress for the weather.  A covered area will be provided as shelter when you are not working with your dog.

Qualifications:

• The desire to have fun and work in a team environment with your dog(s)
• Because Agility is an active sport, dogs must meet certain requirements in order to avoid damaging newly forming bones and tendons while running a full agility course and doing full size jumps.

• Younger dogs and puppies may attend but will not be allowed to do any high jumping or repetitive actions for the health of their bones and joints.  Puppy jumps will be supplied for young puppies or older dogs wanting to get into the sport.
• No Experience Needed - come and learn at your own pace
• For the safety of the Club, No Dogs with Aggression Issues

  The Rules:

• Dogs must be on leash and under owners control at all times except while running an agility course off leash.
• Dogs must not be kept in cars on hot days.  Please either bring a crate/kennel for your dog or your dog may be kept in our securely fenced doggy daycare area if it is safe to do so.  Dogs that bark excessively and disturb other members may be required to be kennelled near your vehicle or in the adjacent yard when not on the agility field.
• For your dog's safety, no corrective based training collars.  Please have a loosely fitting flat buckle or snap collar with an ID tag for your dog.
• Dogs must be in good physical condition with no current injuries.
• Un-spayed female dogs may not attend while in heat.
• Please do not let your dog eliminate (go potty) on the Agility Field or the equipment; use the adjacent yard or doggy daycare area and please pick up after your dog.
• Owners displaying any abusive actions towards their dog or other members will be immediately dismissed without refund.
